Local adults got more than $100 worth of health tests for free today...courtesy of Walgreens "Way to Well" tour with AARP.
The tour wrapped up two weeks in our area with a stop at the Walgreens on Broad street.
Ten key screenings were offered, including cholesterol, glucose, blood pressure and Body Mass Index.
It only takes around 20 minutes but can provide valuable peace of mind.
Grace Hatcher, Certified Wellness Staff, "We give you a printout of your results to take home with you. You can take them to your doctor. We also explain all the tests we did and all your results so we tell you if you're in healthy range or you're out of healthy range."
The Walgreens "Way to Well" tour goes around the country providing free access to prevention and early detection of chronic diseases like heart disease, cancer and diabetes.
Everyone who participates receives a free one year AARP Membership.
Check out the tour schedule here.
