EAST RIDGE, Tennessee(WDEF) - Parkridge Hospital has opened a new Pelvic Physical Therapy Center at it's East Ridge Campus.

The Pelvic Physical Therapy program will help women who suffer from embarrassing or uncomfortable conditions such as incontinence, pain during intimacy, or pregnancy-related problems.

Physical Therapist Lindsay Johnson said they will use various treatments to help patients overcome their pelvic problems.

"We can work on strengthening the pelvic floor muscles as well as the abdominal muscles and muscles for posture. We can do that with pelvic floor exercises. We can do stretching. We can also do electrical stimulation," Johnson said.
