CHATTANOOGA, TN. (WDEF) - Tennessee 4th district congressman Scott DesJarlais says he has doubts the Affordable Health Care act will be able to continue in its present form until spring.

The congressman, who represents Marion county as part of his district, told the Chattanooga Pachyderm club Monday that the so-called "Obamacare" program is actually a redistribution of wealth.
He says even those who can afford the insurance, with a subsidy, may still face extremely high deductibles.

Rep. Scott DesJarlais\R-District 4
"Right now the president is trying to push the plan through media and propaganda....trying to sign up enough to even allow the plan to work this year. My guess is by February/March he's going to have to make a call to push this thing back...because there's not enough people paying to make it work."

DesJarlais says most of those who have signed up so far have been through Medicaid expansion.
