Amazon wants 250 new warehouse workers for the Chattanooga plant.
They started accepting applications this morning.
You can apply at the Tennessee Career Centers in Chattanooga and Athens.
News 12's Nordia Epps shows us who's applied in Chattanooga today.
By late morning...around 50 people had already came by the Tennessee Career Center in Chattanooga...with one goal in mind.
Lakevia Williams, Amazon Applicant, "I was working at Volkswagen. It didn't work out so now I'm trying to get on at Amazon."
Gabriel Vaugh, Amazon Applicant, "It's a good job and they got a whole bunch of positions for hire."

The Warehouse Associate positions pay $11 an hour...and come with a benefits package.
The basic duty...pack and ship customer orders at the Chattanooga Amazon facility.

Andrea Witt, TN Career Center Chattanooga, "They need to be 18 years old. They do have to have the GED or high school education, um, they have to be willing to work different shifts and they have to be willing to work 10 to 12 hour shifts."

The Amazon positions are just one of the jobs available through the Tennessee Career Centers.
Many of them are just a click away if you can't make it to the center.

Witt, "We cover a lot of jobs anywhere from the professional you know down to somebody looking for a part time job that's in high school. We want people to go to our website and we want people to come into our career centers to look because hopefully the employers are sending us really good jobs in the area for people who are in need of employment."

After the initial screenings this week, interviews for the positions at Amazon will start right away.

Vaughn, "I've been to I'd say like probably 4 places, 5 maybe."

Job seekers we spoke with hope this will be the end of a long search.

Vaughn,"It's hard but you just got to keep on applying and hopefully you get hired."

Williams, "Keep trying keep trying hopefully I'll get hired on at Amazon."

Applications will be accepted until Friday.
