Volkswagen Touts its Environmental Stewardship at Engineer's Club Lunch

(WDEF) Volkswagen touted its environmental stewardship Monday at the Engineer's Club lunch.
     A top mechanical engineer came out of retirement to help VW reach its goal of environmental protection and social responsibility.
     That includes building the plant on a brownfield site, preserving natural wetlands, installing a solar array, using natural instead of artificial lights and recylcing, reducing and reusing.
     Monday's speaker added VW hopes to reduce energy use even more by 2018.
