Crews from the National Public Radio program "From the Top" came to the Tivoli Theatre to tape a radio broadcast.
The program showcases young musicians.
There were five kids on the show who are from the area.
They included a young pianist from Maryville and a guitar quartet from the McCallie school.
They also took their show on the road to do outreach work at local schools.
They visited East Lake Elementary and Calvin Donaldson Elementary.
The schools in Chattanooga are taking advantage of the opportunities to learn about the arts.
School officials are also working to increase their arts programming.
