You always hear about football scholarships.
But a former student at Heritage High school in North Georgia just signed his own scholarship: a band scholarship.
At the beginning of May, Alex Osborn signed a 4 year scholarship to the music department at Jacksonville State University, in Jacksonville, Alabama.
The Marching Southerners band is made up of students from all over the country.
The Southerners perform for thousands each season.
