Zac Brown takes over the job of Principal of the Howard School from Paul David Smith.
Brown was born and raised in East Tennessee.
He taught Mathematics and coached Wrestling in Rhea County before moving to Hamilton County in 2008.
He served as an Assistant Principal at Hixson High school, before taking the job of Principal at East Ridge High school.
He held that position at East Ridge for 3 years.
As Howard's new Executive Principal, Brown told the staff and the students, there is one goal: to get the students college or career ready within 4 years.
"We know that when a student's graduating, not only just having a diploma, but when we say they are ready for College, they're going to be successful in College. And then if they just choose to go a career path, or one of our C.T. (career, technical) strands, they still need to be educated, because they need to be trainable."
