On July 18th, students at the Bethlehem Center in Alton Park celebrated their graduation from the "Read to Lead" Literacy and Leadership Academy.
The Beth students performed songs, poems, music and dancing.
Each student also had their photography displayed.
ArtsBuild's Community Cultural Connections Grant brought celebrated drummer Kofi Mawre and his talented wife Rebekah Mawre to teach African drumming and dance to all of the Bethlehem Center students.
Organizers say this partnership helped build the confidence of the students.
