Saddle Ridge Elementary and Middle School is a brand new school in the Walker County School district.
It's located in Rock Spring, Georgia, and serves kids in Pre-Kindergarten through the 8th grade.
Wendy Ingram is the Principal of the new school.
She says teachers plan to put technology in the hands of the students to help them learn.
"All of our students and in grades 3 through 8 will receive an iPad mini that they'll be able to take home with them. They'll work on it in class. They'll do assignments, turn in assignments to teachers electronically. They'll be able to do all types of research. We don't have to worry about a shortage of laptop carts, or getting in the computer lab because they will have it with them at all times."
