CHATTANOOGA, TN, (WDEF)-One of the fastest growing sports in America, million dollar facilities, competitions.

Yes its indoor rock climbing and boulder grasping stuff, right here at High Point in downtown Chattanooga.

Kids do it.

Keegan Perez, Chattanooga Climber, "The best part about the climbing is the getting down"

Adults do it.

Kevin Geier, Rome, GA,"We are no experts by any means and we stay in the boulder room because I think it's a better work out, works out the whole core and the arms, so that's where we stay when we come"

Even rock climbing enthusiasts from England are in Chattanooga.

"Get to the top of something that you haven't done before, i get a thrill that i got when i was younger"

I was adamant i was not going to be scaling anything except mildly observing.

Even though the coming down part looked fun.
After trying to talk my way out of it on three occasions instructor Wills Young convinced me.

"No climbing is for everybody, its a lot of fun, athletic, but you begin at an easy level and take it from there"

This whole rope thing is also confusing.

Yet kids of all ages were loving it at high point.

luckily for them and scary for me you can soon climb outside and have even more extreme indoor walls.

I think watcHing climbers should be a new sport, one i can train for.
