CHATTANOOGA, TN, (WDEF)- So Line dancing is a southern thing! Or so am I told.
So no better way to fully understand the culture than take lessons and throw myself into it. Allemande Hall in Chattanooga was the venue, a hall famous for clogging, square and line dancing for decades.
The experience while slow to begin with, became more and more fun and very relaxing with time.
The inclusion of uptempo pop music and rap was random but effective.
Everyone there said they had lost weight, felt better about themselves and were happier after dancing, so the only side effects are positive.
Vicki Pierson of Lines in Motion was patient, clear and a natural teacher and hey prosto i can dance! Not well but effectively!
