Hi, I'm Phil Lempert with the New Product Hits & Misses.

Up first,

Gluten-Free Pocket Sandwich

Roast Beef with Caramelized Onions & Provolone.

Hot Pockets have been around, so have Philly Cheese Steaks. Surprisingly this Roast Beef with Caramelized Onions and Provolone is tasty. The bread wrapper is made from brown rice flour and actually cooked up in the microwave very well. Each sandwich is 260 calories, 14 grams of fat, with 13 grams of protein and 3 grams of sugars. It is higher priced than similar sandwiches, but it is gluten free.  Retails for $2.89 for 4.5 oz.  Total Score 82.

Raw Cha Cha

Salty Almond Butter

and it's our first hit.

This could well be my new favorite snack! Made from raw cacao butter, cacao powder, almond butter, coconut oil, honey, almonds and vanilla, this bar is soft in texture and actually more like a sandwich where the cacao enrobes the filling of almond butter and other ingredients. This is delicious, however, one bar is 320 calories and 30 grams of fat, but just 8 grams of sugars. It's definitely worth the indulgence!

Retails for $6.99 for 2 oz.  Total Score is 89.

Organic Refried Black Beans

With Green Chiles

is a hit.

If you like refried beans, but hate making them from scratch, this is a terrific alternative. These are tasty, but I do have 2 complaints - first there are no cooking instructions on the package - besides 'heat', second is that I really didn't taste either the chilis, jalapeños, or the lime. Half a cup, or about a third of this package is only 1 1/2 grams of fat, but has 7 grams of protein. My recommendation is use it as a base and add your own spices.

Retails for $2.69 for 13 oz.  Total Score 90.

Sparkling Herbal Water

Lavender Mint

and it's a hit.

Before you turn your nose up at the idea of Lavender Mint Sparkling Water, taste it! You'll love it! No calories, no artificial sweeteners, just the extracts of lavender, spearmint, lemongrass and thyme. It's very refreshing and not over carbonated.

Retails for $1.99 for 12 fl oz.  Total Score is 90.

Sneaky Snacks

Baked Super Puffs

White Cheddar

and it's the hit of the week.

These are nothing like the cheese puffs you are used to - they're not orange, they're made with corn meal and navy beans and the crisp is perfect. 43 puffs are just 130 calories, 5 grams of fat and have just 230 mg of sodium. They are not just for kids, they're for everybody who likes to snack and the cheese flavor is just right.  Retails for $2.99 for 4 oz.  Total Score is 91.
