I'm Phil Lempert with the New Product Hits & Misses.  I've got 5 hits for you this week.
Royal Rose
Organic Simple Syrup
Lavender-Lemon Flavor
and it's a hit.
If you're looking for the latest flavor trend ... it looks like this year it's all about Lavender. This simple syrup is a recipe of lemon juice, lavender flowers and lemon zest. One ounce is 90 calories and 24 grams of sugars. The lavender adds a nice clean fresh flavor that can be added to your favorite tea, club soda, dessert recipe or even ice cream. Retails for $12 for 8 fl oz  Total Score is 88.

Wholesome Sweeteners
Organic Stevia is a hit.
Yes stevia is all the rage. This stevia is blended with blue agave inulin, which is a natural dietary fiber. The taste is not as sweet as sugar, but has zero calories and benefits to reduce the spikes in blood sugar.  Retails for $9.99 for 4.2 oz.  Total Score is 90.

Navitas Naturals
Chia Seeds
Organic Raw
and it's a hit.
By now you know that chia is good for you. It's loaded with omega fatty acids, has 3 grams of protein and just 4 1/2 grams of fat in 2 tablespoons. Sprinkle it on salads, on meats and fish and even stir it in to beverages. How does it taste? Almost no taste, but similar to poppy seeds. It's vegan and raw.  Retails for $8.99 for 8 oz.  Total Score is 91.

*Up next,
The Republic of Tea
Super Herb Tea
Moringa, Green Rooibos and Mango [pronounced: ROYBOSS]
is a hit.
This soothing tea is actually a blend of leaves from the Moringa plant, green rooibos and natural mango flavor. The moringa plant is a superfood, considered to be naturally high in vitamins, minerals, phytonutrients and antioxidants. The rooibos is considered to have immune boosting and cholesterol lowering benefits. And most importantly the flavor is delicious.  Retails for $13 for 1.8z (36 tea bags).  Total score is 92.

And finally,
Pure Sugar Cane
which is the hit of the week.
This pure cane sugar has a slight honey flavor, is crunchier than typical sugar and is made by squeezing sugar cane and then evaporating the juice. One packet is just 16 calories and for that few calories just use this instead of all those artificial and other sweeteners.  Retails for $1.89 for 100 packets (14.11 oz).  Total Score is 97.
