TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Alabama's receiving corps has one star and an impressive supporting cast.
Led by Amari Cooper, the top-ranked Crimson Tide's receivers are generating a buzz normally reserved for the program's tailbacks and defense going into the season.
Deep threat Kenny Bell predicts that, "It's going to be one of the most spectacular receiver groups that have come around in a long time."
Cooper had one of the best seasons by an Alabama receiver as a freshman. He's got plenty of company.
Alabama's five returning receivers who played last year have collectively produced 3,092 yards and 29 touchdowns. They're joined by Chris Black, who missed last season with a shoulder injury and two highly rated freshmen.
Quarterback AJ McCarron says the chemistry with the receivers is the best he's had.
