TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - AJ McCarron is focused on winning the Iron Bowl, not the Heisman Trophy.
Top-ranked Alabama's quarterback could give his Heisman stock a big boost if the Crimson Tide can beat the fourth-ranked Tigers on Saturday and move on to the Southeastern Conference championship game.
McCarron insists he's not "worried about that" and just wants to win. With a 36-2 career record and two national titles, he has risen to the occasion on big stages.
The Tigers don't want him having a so-called Heisman moment on their field. Defensive end Dee Ford says Auburn isn't motivated by trying to deny McCarron college football's most coveted individual award.
But, Ford says, "He's not going to come in here and just have his way."
McCarron has passed for 23 touchdowns against five interceptions.
