Georgia Expects Physical Title Game
Even though Alabama is favored by a touchdown in the SEC Championship game, Georgia is not acting like an underdog. Georgia safety Bacarri Rambo stated that the Bulldogs had better players across the board than Alabama.
Said Georgia linebacker Christian Robinson,"I think people can believe me when I say this is the biggest game we have ever played in." That's because if Georgia wins, they'll play for their first national title in thirty years. Said head coach Mark Richt,"Let's face it. We're playing in a sold-out Dome for the SEC Championship with a chance to play for a national championship. Everybody is going to be excited about the game."
Georgia got to the SEC Championship game last season as well, but the attitude appears different this time around. Said Robinson,"We really felt like we were just happy to be in that game last year. We'd had a bad season the year before. To be in the SEC Championship game we kind of checked off as a successful season. You realize soon when you lose that game how close you really were to doing something actually special."
Georgia players and coaches understand the task at hand in beating Bama. Said Robinson,"When you're playing Alabama, you know you're going to get a well-coached team that's not afraid to hit and run and run over people." Said Georgia receiver Tavarres King,"This game is not about tricking each other. It's two hard-nose football teams. They're going to come at us. We're going to come at them. We're not going to try to trick each other. We are going to play our games." Said Richt,"Both teams like to hang their hat on playing physical. Running the football. Playing real stout defense. You would think it would be a physical battle." Said Robinson,"We've really been playing physical football and knocking people back. Winning the line of scrimmage. That is going to be really important on Saturday."
