Last time we saw Alabama, they lost that crazy game to Auburn, knocking them out of the national title hunt. Now the Tide must regroup for the Sugar Bowl against Oklahoma.
Said receiver Kevin Norwood,"Life goes on. That's what we tell them. Life goes on. You can't reminisce on the past. You've got to be where your feet are."
The Tide may not be in the title game, but Oklahoma says they're still Alabama.
Said Sooners running back Brennan Clay,"I honestly believe we are playing the best team in the country. I think everyone else knows that as well. So we are preparing hard, and we're up for the challenge."
Said Sooners Linebacker Eric Striker,"You know man, them boys are good over there. They've got a good offensive line. Great running back, quarterback, you have to speak about him. They execute. It's all about attack. They attack."
Said Sooners head coach Boby Stoops,"You appreciate that, as a coach, watching great fundamentals, and how they play their technique. So definitely a very talented team."
Bama would love to show the Sooners they really are the best in the nation.
Said Tide defensive lineman Jeoffrey Pagan,"Really we are just trying to get back to Alabama football and try to dominate our opponent."
Alabama's defense gave up nearly 300-yards rushing against Auburn.
Maybe that has given the Sooners offense a little confidence.
Said Sooners Co-Offensive Coordinator Jay Norvell,"It's interesting to see the things that have hurt them defensively and put a plan together."
Added Clay,"I think we can run the ball on anyone. Once we get our fronts, and make our ID's upfront. The O-line, once they get a hat-on-hat, we're good."
