Even though Georgia is ranked 6th in the country, they got left out of the BCS bowls. They have to settle for just their second ever meeting against Nebraska in the Capital One Bowl.

Not only will there will be a lot of Red at the Capital One Bowl, but there will also be a lot of Mark Richt's family members. The Bulldogs head coach has cousins in Nebraska that have started their own Georgia-Nebraska club called…Corn Dawgs. Said Richt,"My cousin Billy put together a news letter called, 'The Corn Dawg'. Nebraskans for Georgia. The last I heard, there were maybe 100 or 115 subscribers after about 12 years."

Nebraska and Georgia are both coming off losses in their conference title games. Said Richt,"Both teams are stinging a little bit. Both teams want to prove they are a good team." Added quarterback Aaron Murray,"A team that was also one game away from being in a BCS Game. They're hungry. They want to finish their season off strong as well. It's going to be a great game."

And Georgia appears hungry to play a team like Nebraska. Said linebacker Christian Robinson,"Anytime you play a team that has history and tradition, you are always going to get a team that's well-coached. They're going to have great players, and they're going to come ready to play and prepared."

Georgia lost to Michigan State in the Outback Bowl last season, and Coach Richt doesn't want his seniors to experience a loss like that again. "You don't want the last experience for your seniors to be being bummed out in the locker room in Orlando." Added Robinson,"This is my last game. I know the seniors want to go out on a good note."

Since the game is in Orlando, Richt wants his guys to enjoy the experience. "Go to all the events that you can go to in Orlando. All the things that are so much fun. I want them to do it. I want them to have fun. When it comes time to kick it off, let's be ready to rock and roll."
