BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger says he's looking forward "tremendously" to Sunday, when his Georgia homecoming is history.

Mettenberger says there's too much hype about his return to play against the football program he was once a part of, and with which his mother still works.

He says he even took the unusual step of addressing teammates about it before Monday's practice, telling them he won't let the spotlight on him or his "relationship with Georgia to take away from this game and the experience for all the other guys."

Mettenberger spent his freshman year at Georgia before off-the-field trouble led to his dismissal. He left for junior college and later transferred to LSU.

This Saturday he'll make his debut in Sanford Stadium wearing not red, but LSU purple and gold.
