Former Mocs golfer Steven Fox who won the 2012 United States Amateur Championship at famed Cherry Hills Country Club in dramatic fashion is turning Pro. The move caps an unprecedented 2012-2013 amateur campaign in which Fox held State, National and International Amateur Titles simultaneously, while playing for the University of Tennessee Chattanooga.

Said Fox, quote “I’m extremely excited to begin my career as a professional. I’ve been preparing for this moment my entire life. I’ve learned many things over the last year and will treasure it always, but I’m ready to embark on something new and create even bigger headlines.”

In August, Fox ran away with the Tennessee State Amateur Title. In 2012 he rallied from two down with two to go to best California golfer Michael Weaver in 37 holes. In 2012 Fox teamed with Chris Williams and Justin Thomas to win the World Amateur Team Championship for the United States of America. The 21-year-old is also coming off a magical stretch in which he teed it up in the Masters, the US Open and British Open in 2013.

Fox will begin his quest to play on the PGA Tour by attending q-school for the Web.com Tour this Fall.

Steven Fox will be represented by Meister Sports Management.
