Former UTC Basketball Player Jenaya Wade-Fray Makes Olympics

Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s basketball player Jenaya Wade-Fray (St. George’s, Bermuda) was selected to represent Great Britain in the 2012 Olympics in London this summer.
 
Wade-Fray, an all-conference performer for Chattanooga, is 12th on the Lady Mocs’ all-time scoring list with 1,351 points. She scored a personal season-best her senior campaign with 427 points. She is third on UTC’s all-time 3-pointers made list with 214 long-rangers and is 10th on the career charts for assists with 280. Wade-Fray ranks first all-time at Chattanooga for games played having appeared in all 131 over her four years.
 
In her time at Chattanooga, the Lady Mocs claimed four of their 11 straight Southern Conference titles and three SoCon tournament crowns. UTC advanced to the postseason all four years and made three appearances in the NCAA Tournament. Chattanooga posted an overall record of 100-31 and were 66-10 in league action including a perfect 18-0 performance her sophomore year.
 
Before the Olympics, the team will play preparatory matches against Angola, Australia and France in Sheffield before meeting reigning gold medalists USA in Manchester. The team will tip-off their Olympic campaign against Australia.
