The Mocs have struggled to implement Coach Wade's Chaos brand of basketball.
But maybe the system will come around since everyone is healthy.
Said forward Casey Jones,"Having everyone on the court together finally. Chaos. Finally."
Head coach Will Wade is thinking the same thing.
"When we don't have them, we have to play some guys out of position. It cuts our playbook down. It cuts what we can do down. There's only so much we can expect. There's only so many positions you can expect somebody to learn all the plays from."
Guard Rico White is now seeing extensive action after returning from off-season hip surgery. Monday night he was five of five on three's for 20-points.
"I'm fine. We got a win. Nothing is wrong with me. It's the best feeling."
Said Wade,"Rico gutted it out. He was really good for us. Gives us a huge lift."
With everyone getting healthy, maybe Casey Jones can finally play his game.
He had 20 Monday night, including three dunks.
"(Director of Basketball Operations) Brooks Savage was telling me I couldn't dunk in a game all day today before the game. So I just tried to make something happen, and I was there."
Said Wade,"I tell him anytime his feet touch the paint, you better shoot it because he rises up, and he can get above everybody and knock it in."
The Mocs beat Maine 86-80 for their 16th Dr Pepper Classic title.
Said Wade,"Well actually we purchase the trophy. It came out of our budget. I saw it on our line-item. We paid for it, we should keep one right?"
