Kayla Christopher hails from Oliver Springs Tennessee, a mythical town according to Lady Mocs coach Wes Moore. "The Great Oz," says the veteran coach. Added Christopher,"Just a couple of red lights. Hardees. Subway. Just a few things."
Reporter-"Have you ever been to Oliver Springs with her?" Said guard Meghan Downes,"No. Not at all. I've asked her a couple of times what it's like. She said maybe a couple of red lights. I was like okay, I can't do that."
And leaving Oz for Chattanooga wasn't easy for the quiet and reserved Christopher. Said Moore,"We were worried about her being away from home the first year I can tell you that. Her Mom and I both.
