CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. --- Chattanooga Mocs Head Basketball Coach John Shulman announced the signing of Christian Kennedy Wednesday afternoon. Kennedy is a 6’10” post player from Warner Robins, Ga.

Kennedy is a long and lean athlete who fits well with the way the Mocs play. “Christian Kennedy is long and athletic,” Shulman stated. “He is a defensive force in the middle. He can rebound, block shots and run the floor. He has huge potential to be a really good player in our league. “He comes from a great family, a military family,” Shulman added. “We are really happy that they are joining our family.” Kennedy is a rising senior at Northside High School playing for Kenneth Price. He played AAU for Gerald Ogletree and the Columbus Knicks. He is the 15th-ranked prospect in Georgia according to 247sports.com. That same website has him listed as a top 60 power forward nationally and he received three of a possible five stars. Kennedy chose UTC over Jacksonville after an early offer from Auburn, He will help fill the void left when senior Drazen Zlovaric completes eligibility after the 2012-13 season.
