The Chattanooga Mocs dug themselves an early 11-0 hole they could not climb out of, falling to Eastern Kentucky 63-52 at McKenzie Arena.
The Mocs went almost the first five minutes of play without a field goal as the Colonels raced out to the early advantage. Drazen Zlovaric led Chattanooga with 12 points. Glenn Cosey paced the Colonels with a game-high 23, also adding 6 rebound and five assists in the victory.
EKU led by 15 at the half and opened up a 23 point lead with eight minutes to play before the Mocs rallied.
They scored the next 10 points to get within 13, 56-43. But that would be a close as it got until two late Ronrico White free throws left the final margin at 11.
