The Chattanooga Mocs Lost 31-21 to UT Martin in their season opener. The first half was a defensive struggle with the Skyhawks capitalizing on a Jacob Huesman interception in the second quarter. J'Vontez Blackmon got the pick, and the Skyhawks got the ball around the Mocs ten yard line. A few plays later, and D.J. McNeil scored from two yards out to make it 7-0 at the half. Third quarter and UT Martin quarterback Dylan Favre scrambled 13-yards for a touchdown to make it 14-0. Mocs quickly answered as Huesman hit tight end Faysal Shafaat for a 13-yard touchdown. The two teams then combined for 31 points in the fourth quarter with UT Martin prevailing 31-21. The Skyhawks had two backs gain over 100 yards, as they amassed 289-yards rushing against the Mocs veteran defense. Chattanooga receiver/quarterback Terrell Robinson did not play because of a hamstring injury.

So much for a great veteran defense and a possible playoff appearance, lmao. Giving up 289 yards rushing ain't gonna get it done. Looks like another 500-ish season... what a flop.
