Mocs head coach John Shulman announced on Thursday that freshman guard Farad Cobb has been dismissed from the team. Said Shulman following UTC's game on Thursday against UNC Greensboro,"Just got to the point where as a head coach, you are going to have to make tough decisions sometimes. It was nothing illegal that he did. Just reached a point where we needed to head in a different direction, and so did he."
Last week, two misdemeanor charges were dropped against Cobb, provided he completed three public work days. In January, he was arrested and charged with underage drinking and disorderly conduct. Cobb averaged nearly six points a game for UTC. In November, he scored 21 points on the road against Kansas.
