Jacob Huesman hooked up with Riley Davis on the game's final play to lead the first team White squad to a wild, 36-33 win over the second string Blue team.
Mocs running back Tolerance Shepherd tallied 185 yards total offense and three touchdowns on the day, earning him Offensive MVP honors.
Huesman's three yard touchdown to tight end Faysal Shafaat helped the Blue squad jump out to an early 12-0 lead. The Blue team extended that lead when Will Johnson picked off a Terrell Robinson pass and scooted 70 yards for a score, putting the Blue up 19-0. Johnson was named Defensive MVP for his effort.
The White/Gold team, led by two Shepherd scores and a Robinson touchdown pass to Eric Foster, stormed back to claim a 22-19 lead.
Late in the fourth quarter, things got really exciting, as the Blue retook the lead on an electrifying 70 yard touchdown run from Robinson, to give the second string a 26-22 lead.
The White/Gold answered with a 75 yard strike from Huesman to Shephard as they reclaimed the lead 29-26. After the Blue responded with a Faysaal Shafaat touchdown catch, Huesman found Riley on the final play to seal the 36-33 win.
Huesman finished with 370 yards passing and four touchdowns, while Robinson added 224 yards of total offense and two scores.
