"Bad Karma,
"Snakebit"
"I don't get it"
The frustration builds for the Chattanooga Mocs after another last second loss.
"The whole season, it's on my tail end. It's on me. But in coaching there's a lot of things you can't control. It's just a fact of life and sometimes things go in your favor and sometimes they don't," says Mocs Head Coach John Shulman.
The reeling Mocs have lost 10 of their last 11....five of those by three points or less...
"I ain't going to lie to you, some of the things that go on out there is a joke. When you are kind of snake bit you got to battle harder and our kids are battling. You don't fake crying," says Shulman.
"I'm a very competitive person. So for me this is beyond frustrating and I just want to win. Whatever it takes to win. I don't care if I have zero. I don't care if I have 30. I just want to win," says Mocs forward Dontay Hampton.
It's the Mocs touch from long range that has faded fast, just 13 of 69 from beyond the arc in the last three games.
"I think that sometimes in the basketball world when you don't make shots people think you are thinking about it too much. If people arent knocking down shots we are still confident in ourselves and confident within the basketball team," says Mocs guard Keegan Bell
A confidence that is still there, even after a rock bottom loss to the SoCon's worst team. They are still working toward the conference tournament next month where anything can happen.
"We've got a group of guys that are just fearless and ready to go after this thing. We are not giving up on each other we are not giving up on coach," Bell says.
"If it turns, we're going to have a real chance, if it doesn't turn, then what's going to happen is we are going to do what everybody thinks we are going to do and get beat. There's only one team that's going to leave Ashville winning. But we are going to go try to win it. You say well he's crazy. I'm a coach," added Shulman.
