Chattanooga-(WDEF) The Mocs football team is looking to regroup this week after losing to Samford.
UTC missed a field goal in overtime and lost 17-14.
The loss also cost the Mocs an out-right conference title.

Teams normally have a 24-hour rule after a win or a loss.
But it's taking the Mocs more than just one day to forget about their loss to Samford.
Said head coach Russ Huesman,"You still think about the what-ifs. One of our goals is to be in the playoffs, and if we had won that game, we were in."
Despite the loss, UTC has still clinched a share of the SoCon title for the first time since 1984.
Said Huesman,"I think our guys should be proud that for sure, we at least got a piece of the Southern Conference Championship."
Said offensive lineman Brandon Morgan,"I've been here for three years now. I'm very, very proud to see this trophy sitting next to me right now."
Mocs could still earn the outright title and automatic playoff berth if Samford and Furman lose on Saturday.
If all three teams tie, Huesman hopes all three get in the playoffs, but he's not sure if that'll be the case.
"Because everybody thinks the Southern Conference stinks this year. That's the perception out there. Just because App has got three wins and Georgia Southern has got six wins, all of a sudden the conference stinks. I think that's the biggest issue."
Playing Alabama may be the best thing for the Mocs this weekend.
Said defensive lineman Josh Freeman,"You can't lie. It's Alabama. You can't overlook that. There's no overlooking Bama. Like I said, 100-percent on Bama."
