CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) - Ronrico White pumped in a career-high 28 points to lead Chattanooga to a 90-81 win over Samford in a Thursday night conference matchup.
Chattanooga (9-8, 3-0 Southern Conference) took control late in the first half with a 16-5 blast sparked by a pair of free throws and a 3-pointer by Z. Mason, and enjoyed a 48-33 advantage at the break. The Mocs were outscored 48-42 in the second half but held on for the win, hitting 23 of 28 from the foul line after the break.

Samford (6-12, 0-3) and Chattanooga both shot 46 percent from the field but the Bulldogs hit just 7 of 25 from beyond the arc.
