Poughkeepsie, NY (Sports Network) - The University of San Diego at Marist football game scheduled for Saturday has been postponed because the visiting Toreros are unable to travel into Hurricane Sandy-ravaged New York City.

The two Pioneer Football League schools will attempt to reschedule the game on Dec. 1. PFL commissioner Patty Viverito said a decision on the potential makeup would be made as expeditiously as possible.

Marist's facilities were not hit hard by the storm, but USD's cross-country flight into New York's JFK Airport Thursday was canceled and the university was unable to get another one in a timely manner.

USD (5-3) is tied for third in the PFL standings with a 4-1 league record. Marist has 3-5 overall and 2-3 league records.

On Wednesday, the Central Connecticut State at Monmouth game in West Long Branch, N.J., was postponed. The game likely won't be rescheduled, Monmouth officials said.
