No team has likely suffered more heart-breaking losses in the last few years than Chattanooga. Last year, they lost five games by twelve points. And this year, they've gone down twice in overtime to a pair of ranked teams.

In 2010, the Mocs scored with 51 seconds left against App State to pull within one. They went for two. Didn't make it. Lost 42-41.

In 2011, Mocs went for two at the end of the game against Georgia Southern. Didn't make it. Lost 28-27.

And then last Saturday, the Mocs lost 16-13 in overtime to Wofford. Since 2010, UTC is 0-7 in games decided by three points or less. Said head coach Russ Huesman,"It's hard to address those things right now. We've just got to do everything possible to prepare and practice well this week to win a game." Said quarterback Jacob Huesman,"You can look at it as a positive that we are even in these big games. One of these days, we are going to catch one of those breaks that puts us over the edge."

At least UTC didn't lose any 28-27 games this season. They lost three games by that score last year. Said Russ Huesman,"Last year the big thing was second half play by us. I think if you look at it, we played really well in the second half this year. We've won games in the second half."

The Mocs lose only seven seniors this year. So they'll return an experienced, talented team next season. Said Russ Huesman,"I'm not really thinking about next season. I'm thinking about getting a win against Elon."

Maybe coach is dialed in on Elon because the Phoenix are a perfect 4-0 at Finely Stadium. Said Jacob Huesman,"I knew we didn't have that great of a history against Elon. I didn't realize it was like that."
