Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - UCLA freshman guard Shabazz Muhammad is expected to miss 2-to-4 weeks with a right shoulder strain, the university announced on Thursday.

Muhammad, who is widely considered to be one of college basketball's top freshmen, injured the shoulder in practice on Wednesday.

It remains to be seen if Muhammad will even be cleared to play this season despite the injury, as his amateur status is currently under investigation by the NCAA.
