Highly regarded defensive lineman Kahlil McKenzie announced on Thursday that he has committed to play college football at the University of Tennessee. He plans to sign with the Vols in February. McKenzie hails from Concord, California. He stands 6'4 and weighs 330-pounds. He's listed as a 5-star recruit by Scout.com. McKenzie was named the MVP on Thursday at a gathering of elite prospects called the Opening. Offensive linemen at the camp described him as a monster. McKenzie is the son of Oakland Raiders General Manager Reggie McKenzie, who played linebacker for the Vols. Reggie used to hold an annual football camp in Chattanooga called the McKenzie World Champion Football Camp.
