Vols coach Butch Jones proved to be a hit with fans during a visit to Nashville Tuesday.
But Jones understands Big Orange nation is hungry.
The Vols have not enjoyed a winning record since 2009, and getting one next season will not be easy.
More than half the roster will be first and second year players.
So UT fans may have to be patient once again.
Said Jones,"Well there are always high standards and expectations at the University of Tennessee. But our fan base has been great. I think they understand the realities that we are going through right now. But I think it's going to be great because our fan base is going to be able to watch this team mature over time."
Tennessee opens fall practice on Friday.
