Chattanooga-(WDEF)  Only fitting that a ceremony to honor Red Cross Volunteers would feature someone who coached Volunteers.
Former Volunteers coach Phil Fulmer served as the guest speaker Wednesday at the Chattanooga Hometown Heroes luncheon.
Fulmer posed for several pictures following the ceremony.
You would never know he just had knee replacement surgery.
As far as the Vols football team goes, Fulmer says UT finally has the skill players that are right there with anybody in the SEC.
Said Fulmer,"You don't want to have to call every perfect play every down. You want an athlete to do something special for you. That has been minimal in the last couple of years. Hopefully we have taken that step offensively that we've got somebody that can make a play that just a player makes."
