The Lady Vols rolled over Florida 9-2 in their opening game of the College World Series in Oklahoma City. Tennessee scored three runs in the top of the first. Melissa Brown had the big base hit with a two RBI double. Florida scored twice in the fifth to cut the lead to 3-2. But then Tennessee exploded for four runs in the sixth inning. Kat Datson got a base hit deep down the right field line to plate two runs, while Lauren Gibson got a base hit down the left field line to plate another run. Tennessee then added two more runs in the seventh to provide the final margin of 9-2. The Lady Vols will now play Washington on Friday night.
