UTC Volleyball Falls to Tennessee Before Record Setting Crowd

Chattanooga-(WDEF) The Tennessee volleyball team beat UTC 3-0 on Thursday night in front of a record setting crowd at Maclellan Gym. 1,532 fans were in attendance. That's the largest crowd to ever see a Chattanooga volleyball team play. The previous record was 1,311 against Florida in Gainesville. 

Tennessee won the first set 25-11. UTC made it interesting in the second set going up 22-21 before the Vols prevailed 25-22. Tennessee clinched it with their 25-21 win in the third set. Jamie Lea led Tennessee with 12 kills, while Allie Davenport led Chattanooga with 8 kills. UTC falls to 0-4 on the year, while UT improves to 3-1.
