One of the Vols top commitments for the Class of 2014 will miss the remainder of his senior high school season. Beech running back Jalen Hurd injured his right shoulder in his team's season opening win last week against Station Camp. It's the same shoulder Hurd had injured last year. Now the senior running back will undergo season ending surgery. Hurd rushed for 177-yards in Beech's win over Station Camp. Last season, he broke the state of Tennessee's single season rushing record by running for 3,357-yards. Hurd was planning on enrolling early at Tennessee. His mother told the Tennessean that they hope Hurd will be healthy in time to take part in UT spring drills.
