Hoover, AL-(WDEF) No one will be more excited about the Vols upcoming season than linebacker Curt Maggitt.
He hasn't played in a year-and-a-half thanks to a torn ACL.
Maggitt was soaking it all in at the SEC Media Days on Tuesday.
But he's anxious to soak in a Saturday afternoon in the fall.
Head coach Butch Jones calls Maggitt a team leader.
If Maggitt is fully recovered from his knee injury, he could give Tennessee a disruptor on defense.
Said Maggitt,"I know there are going to be some struggles going through it. I feel as a good as I did ever. I haven't felt this good since I was in college. So I'm excited. I'm excited to play again. I'm excited just to go out there and play football at Neyland. It's things like that that get me going."
Added Jones,"The addition of getting back Curt Maggitt. He'll add an edge presence for us where we will be able to be multiple with him defensively."
