KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) - Tennessee has its biggest game of the season just three days after winning the longest marathon in school history, but the Volunteers believe fatigue won't hinder them Tuesday against No. 8 Florida.
The Vols outlasted Texas A&M 93-85 in four overtimes Saturday for their fifth straight triumph, which represents their longest string of consecutive Southeastern Conference wins since 2008.
Beating Florida (22-4, 12-2 SEC) would give the Vols (16-10, 8-6) a boost in their NCAA tournament hopes. They can't afford to be tired.
Tennessee's key players spent the day after the Texas A&M game resting in a tub and watching film rather than exerting themselves on the court. Junior guard Trae Golden, the reigning SEC player of the week, said he doesn't "expect any fatigue at all" Tuesday.
