Tennessee will have to defend the arc when they take on Michigan this Friday in the Sweet 16.
The Wolverines are not afraid to launch three-pointers.
Michigan is ranked 16th in the nation in three-pointers made per game.
In their 27 wins, the Wolverines average hitting nearly 9.5 three-pointers.
Guard Nik Stauskas connects on 45-percent of his three-balls.
So the Vols perimeter defense will have to be clutch.
Said Tennessee forward Jeronne Maymon,"They shoot a lot of threes, and they make a lot of threes. It's our job as a team to run them off that line."
Said teammate Jarnell Stokes,"Sadly with teams like that, they can be hot on any night. Sometimes you have to be a little bit lucky and hope they don't hit a lot of shots."
Said Vols head coach Cuonzo Martin,"It's almost like you would like for them to try score out of their set plays because when the set plays break down, they've got four guys that can take you off the dribble. Guys that can make plays and make shots."
Tipoff on Friday from Indianapolis is set for 7:15pm. WDEF News 12 will televise the contest.
