Chickamauga, GA (WDEF) When Gordon Lee reflects on last season, they feel pain. The Trojans could not stay healthy. Said head coach Charlie Wiggins,"At one time we counted up 75 quarters missed with about three or four games to go with kids." Said fullback Gabe Veazey,"We started to think something was up. Maybe there was a curse on us or something."

With all the guys getting hurt, running back Zack Cobb had to move to quarterback midway through the season. And he admits that was a big adjustment. "Probably the first game I started at quarterback was at home against Walker in a play-in game. We ran a speed option. I turned to the left instead of the right, and then I just got hammered."

Despite the injuries, Gordon Lee finished 5-5 in the regular season and made the playoffs for the first time since 2008. Said Veazey,"I was really happy, and I was really proud we finally made it back in." Added Wiggins,"Now the goal is to do it again, and see if we can take it a step further."

To go further, the Trojans will need to count on a lot of new guys because they graduated a lot of seniors. Said Cobb,"We have the talent to have a successful season. Injuries is a key part. We really need our line to step up and our defense to step up because we lost a lot of seniors on defense." Said Veazey,"We had a lot of young guys play in that playoff game. So that gives me a lot of confidence that we should be able to do it again this year."
