Baylor has reached at least the state playoff quarterfinals the last four seasons, and they have enjoyed four straight wins against rival McCallie.

That means the Red Raiders are in a full fledged drive for 5 in 2013, and it starts with returning running back George Porter. He's equipped with 4.4 forty speed under the hood. "I just do what I have to do running the ball. That's the whole thing with the 40. When the season ended, I just worked hard on my speed, which really helped me with the 4.4."

The keys to that high octane offense will be handed to new starting quarterback Nick Tiano, who got plenty of experience at the wheel last season. Said head coach Phil Massey,"Nick got a lot of snaps in. The way he has been able to handle the offense and read the defense gets us in the right place. He's doing an excellent job there, so the experience he gained last year is certainly going to help us to move forward this year." Said Tiano,"There's pressure but we are pretty confident on what we can do, and we feel like we can go out there and play well every Friday."

The Red Raiders will need the offense to be clicking on all cylinders as the defense rebuilds. Said Massey,"We are going to have to rely a little bit more heavily on the offense to get the defense going. We lost our complete secondary outside of our free safety, so we've got a lot of young guys there."

After losing 11 straight games to McCallie from 1998 to 2008, the Raiders will try to notch their 5th straight victory over the Blue Tornado this season. Said Porter,"My 8th grade year was the first time beating them in 12 years. So just being apart of that winning each year since I've been here, I love it. I mean you love to win, but you love to win against your rivals, so hopefully we just keep that going this year."
