Brainerd's Demetrius Kitchens hit a lay-up at the buzzer to give the Panthers a
63-62 victory over East Ridge for the district 6-AA tournament title.
The Panthers enjoyed a 13-point lead going into the fourth quarter, but the
Pioneers fought back with several 3-pointers. They hit twelve 3-pointers
in the game. Eddie Hitchcock hit a three with ten seconds left to put East Ridge up 62-61. Then Kitchens hit the lay-up to give Brainerd the win.
Jeulian High led Brained with 17 points, while Kitchens added 16.
The Pioneers Chris Green led all scorers with 24 points. Hitchcock chipped in with 16.
