Dalton-(WDEF) The 17-0 Dalton soccer team opened the state playoffs on Wednesday with a 10-0 mercy rule win over Stone Mountain. The Catamounts led 5-0 at the half, and they scored quickly in the second half.  Ramiro Huitanda got an easy goal on a penalty kick to make it 6-0. It was his third goal of the night. Then Eder Mora on a throw-in, actually threw the ball in the net. Since the goalie touched it, it counted as a Dalton goal. That made it 7-0.  Catamounts scored three more times, and then the mercy rule took affect with about 18 minutes left in the match.
