East Ridge guard Eddie Hitchcock poured in 35 points against Brainerd, but it was not enough. The Pioneers lost 63-54 in the quarterfinals of the District 6-AA tournament, so their season came to an end. East Ridge trailed most of the game.
Hitchcock hit a three early in the fourth quarter to tie the game, but the Panthers answered on their next series with a three from Marques Tipton. East Ridge never took the lead in the final period. Jay Besley led the Panthers with 25 points.
