Ridgeland safety Vonn Bell wasn't the only local guy who signed with Ohio State on Wednesday. Former Chattanooga resident Darron Lee also joined the Buckeyes.

Darron's mom, Candace Lee, was a former news anchor here at Channel 12 before she moved to Columbus, Ohio. Darron is an outstanding athlete, playing all over the field for New Albany. He scored six touchdowns in one game last season. Now he can't wait to team up with Vonn Bell. Said Lee,"It's good that somebody from my hometown of Chattanooga is going to be up here. I'm excited to play with him. The days down there, playing little league since I was five years-old with the Brainerd Bills at the time. The Brainerd Bills and the inner city Broncos. Shout out to both of them. Those were the teams that pretty much taught me how to play football."
